About Austral Sky

Patagonian landscape under the southern sky

Austral Sky is a remote astrophotography platform being developed in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Our goal is to make the southern sky accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.

The Southern Sky

Some of the most spectacular objects in the night sky are best seen from the southern hemisphere. The Carina Nebula, Omega Centauri, the Magellanic Clouds, and countless other deep-sky treasures are difficult or impossible to observe from northern latitudes.

From our location in Tierra del Fuego, at the southern tip of South America, we have access to these remarkable celestial objects under some of the darkest skies on Earth.

Our Mission

We are building a small observatory designed to give users a genuine astrophotography experience without the complexity of owning and operating equipment, traveling to dark sites, or dealing with technical challenges.

Choose a target from our curated catalog. Follow your imaging session live as frames arrive. Receive your captured images to enjoy, share, or process further.

Built Locally

Austral Sky is being developed with local engineering support in Tierra del Fuego. The observatory requires people on the ground to maintain equipment, respond to weather conditions, and ensure reliable operations.

This is a global astronomy experience, built from a local place.

We are preparing the first test sessions and looking for early users who want to help shape the experience.
